The avast continuously encountering disk issues is a common issue that can hinder the performance of your PC. The antivirus software is able to perform regular operations, such as qualification scanning, computer system deciphering, and laptop or computer cleaning that consumes a lot of memory. However, there are number of solutions to this issue, like looking for viruses, resetting virtual memory and performing a clean boot. You can also deactivate background scanning and change the frequency of scans.
You can also disable automatic updates. This will stop your computer from installing and downloading new features that could result in disk or CPU usage increases. You can open the Avast interface by clicking its icon in your tray of your system, or by clicking on the Start menu. Click on the Settings icon and then choose Components. Then, find the component that’s consuming too much memory (Avast Cleanup in this kind of scenario) and click Uninstall Component. Restart your computer after the process is complete to determine if the issue persists.
Avast’s core security features can be turned off. They operate in real time, and consume large amounts of memory. This can be done by hitting the Avast icon in your system tray, and then selecting Adjustments. Scroll down to the Core Shields section and select the Protection tab. Uncheck every option in this tab and click Finish. You can also delete temporary data files from your hard drive to free space.
